Our Work
Educating Young People
We table at universities across Philadelphia teaching young people how to ride SEPTA and educating them on the benefits of the UPASS program! Keep an eye out for us on your campus. Don’t be shy! Stop by and introduce yourself. We are always looking for young people to join our organization and make lasting change in the region.
Connecting with Students
We continue working with student governments across Southeastern Pennsylvania to advocate for the adoption of SEPTA’s UPASS program. We refuse to stop until every student has affordable access to SEPTA and gains access to everything our region has to offer.
Advising SEPTA
Advising SEPTA is our most important function as an organization. Every fiscal year, we offer comments on SEPTA’s budget proposal which are compiled by out SEPTA Affairs Committee. We are often briefed on SEPTA initatives and given numerous opportunities for input on projects like SEPTA Metro.
Legislative Research
It can be hard to keep up with the lastest in Harrisburg. With new bills being introduced constantly, the YAC works to provide an easily, accessible way of monitoring transit related legislation. Check out our Legislative Tracking Center and keep up to date on the latest developments from Harrisburg as it relates to transit policy.
