Advising SEPTA
The SEPTA Youth Advisory Council’s most important role is advising SEPTA on its various initiatives. Below you will find all feedback the YAC submits to SEPTA. Policy Memos are short form critiques of projects being undertaken by SEPTA while Policy Proposals are long form research completed by YAC members for submission to and consideration by SEPTA.

KEY 2.0 Memo
SEPTA Key 2.0 will be the next generation replacement of the current SEPTA Key system that was designed nearly a decade ago. Awarded to Cubic Transportation Systems, the design process is ongoing. The YAC advises caution and favors closed loop payment systems that leave space for tap and pay functionality.
Erie Bus Ave Bus Lanes
Erie Ave is a vital transit corridor in North Philly. The corridor contains intersections between multiple high frequency bus routes. To improve bus speeds, Erie Ave will be redesigned in the near future. The YAC supports median bus lanes for the corridor due to their faster speeds.
